Responsibilities include: prospecting/cold calling, setting appointments with prospects, creative client presentations, and achieving a sales quota. Because Cumulus has a systems approach to sales, you must have a deep appreciation for process, performance measurement, employee development, and a results-oriented sales approach.
Job Requirements
- New business to business experience preferred with recognition as top-performer
- Minimum of 1 year outside sales experience required; 2 or more years preferred with ability to penetrate new business categories
- Strong understanding of lead generation, CRM/SFA and account management
- Cultivation of long standing client relationships
- Media sales background preferred, not required
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet/Intranet)
- Bachelors degree preferred

CUMULUS-Sales Coordinator
Cumulus Media is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Sales Coordinator in our Lexington office. This highly-diversified position involves multiple tasks related to the sale, creation, and implementation of radio advertisements. Candidates should be detail-oriented, personable and eager to learn about the industry.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Developing and producing a range of sales and promotional materials for local and national clients
Facilitating the implementation of orders with scheduling and production staff
Working with media personalities in coordination with sales promotions
Serving as the liaison between Lexington and corporate offices for administrative duties
Aiding with promotional activities including contests and events
Performing various administrative tasks (filing, mailing invoices, answer client inquiries, etc.)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
1-2 years of experience in advertising, sales or office management preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
